How long have you been in business?
The Boehmer Family has been in business in Wauconda since 1913,thats 98 years. Arthur Boehmer started the business and Steve Boehmer is a 3rd generation auto dealer.
What is your primary product or service?
We sell high quality preowned cars trucks and SUVs, both Domestic and Imports. We also have some lower price vehicles for the budget minded owner. We also have Diagnostic technology to enable us to repair most all makes and models of cars ,trucks and SUVs.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My grandfather started the business and my Father worked with him through the 1930 and 40s. I started with my father in 1970 full time and have been here ever since.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Boehmer Automotive has its roots in Wauconda and has been know for our attention to detail and honest and fair approach to selling and servicing automobiles. Having a business in a small town requires that you treat your customers the same way you would want to be treated, with courtesy and fairness!!!!
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Our only location is on Liberty street in Wauconda, and currently have not plans for expansion.

We are located on route 176 1/4 mile East of US Route 12
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept checks and all major credit cards and of course CASH
Which areas do you service?
We service all communities withing a 30 mile radius of Wauconda. Such as Lake Zurich, Hawthorne Woods, Mundelein, Round Lake,Fox Lake, Mchenry, Island LAke,Cary,Crystal Lake,Fox RIver Grove,Barrington, North Barrington, Port Barrington
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
The owners are Steve Boehmer and Fred Bailey and we are here to serve the public on a daily basis

Our showroom hours are Mon-Thurs 8-7:30 Friday 8-6 Sat 8-5 closed Sunday Service Mon-Fri 8-5 Sat 8-noon
