We provides non-traditional transportation services to Children, Families & Seniors.
We provides transportation services to children, families, low–income families, single parents and everyday people in our community who can’t afford to pay for traditional transportation services. We cater to whatever our customer’s transportation needs are and help them manage their transportation needs. Old School Transportation was founded in 2004 and the owners have been in the transportation business for over eleven years and owned business for eight years.
We have over 500 memberships we manage and provide transportation to the general public. We provide a unique personalized transportation service to our community. And we have some unique programs to fit everyone's budget needs. We have a membership program which gives our members flat low rates and we offer a payment plan to our members. No other transportation services offer these kinds of services to their customers in the Lake County, IL, area.

How long have you been in business?
We have been serving the Lake County Communities since 2004.
What is your primary product or service?
Children & Family Transportation Services. We provide Transportation services: School Runs, Day Care/Preschool, Before & After School Programs, Summer School, Summer Camp, Sport Activities, Proms, (teen) Ride 2 Work Programs, Field Trips, Dr. Appointments,Charters,Airport Runs and Limo services. And Taxi services in Zion, Gurnee, Round Lake staring in June 20012 soon.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I started working with a transportation company, and saw how tuff it was for single parents and families to get their families from Point A to B. And how much the taxi companies were charging the parents to get their kids to school. (Which was too much money?)So I thought, I could find a better way of providing affordable transportation services for our community. So I conducted some research and talk with some small companies I found on the internet, who were specializing in children transportation. After putting a business plan together. I started my company. In my background I have over 25 years in Security & Law Enforcement. I was a corp. Security Manager for 10 years & Part-time Police officer for 10 years and I was also a basketball coach to age 5 to High School age group for 5 years. I have (2) boys and enjoy working with children.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We specialized in children transportation and cater to whatever our customers transportation needs are. And we help our customer manage their transportation need. We provide a "Unique transportation services for the entire family. Most other companies do not cater to children transportation needs
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have a new office in Waukegan, IL.
