Play based learning is a technical way of describing the way children, especially young children, explore and make sense of their world. Children who are encouraged to learn and grow in this way learn to use their brains in different ways to understand and solve problems. Through play-based learning, children develop an understanding of the social and physical conditions that define their world, and the language and symbols that are used to describe it.
Children who have been given plenty of opportunities for play-based learning will have a great start in life. Among other things, it is believed they will develop self confidence, a positive self-image, social and language skills, curiosity, persistence and concentration. What is more, as they get older they are more likely to engage in activities, such as sport or youth clubs, which will develop their life skills further.

?ETC PreSchool is a non-denomination Christian Early Learning Center. We are providing an Extended Day for children ages 2 to 5 (6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday-Friday), Part-Day PreSchool classes for children ages 2 to 5 and before and after school Care for children ages 5 to 10 years (including before and after kindergarten 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.)

How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
ETC is a small private business that provides a child with a safe and secure setting away from their home. The preschool offers flexible scheduling -- you choose the number of days and days of the week you want your child to attend.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
ETC is located in Lake Zurich and provides the community with part time preschool, and ETC has a full day childcare facility in Wauconda, Illinois.

ETC is located at 235 Quentin Road, however, when pulling up directions on your mobile device use the address 255 Quentin Road. Our facility is located in the back of the parking lot in a ranch style home.
What type of payments do you accept?
ETC accepts checks for the monthly tuition payments.

ETC PreSchool is owned by Jane Fidler, and Mary Lakatos runs the daily operations of the business.
What are your hours of operation?
ETC offers “one stop shopping” for the parent and preschooler. Your two, three, four, and five year old preschooler comes to class 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. The preschool also offers children 3, 4 and 5 the opportunity to stay for lunch; continue on with a day of enrichment! The enrichment classes are 45 minutes in length and begin at 12:30 p.m.
